Nice walking shoes

They fit true to size in length, and are wider and roomier around the toes than standard. The soles are not as soft as is the trend nowawadays, nor are they as firm as traditional hiking boots. They almost look a little too nice for walking and appear well made, of quality materials, although being a lower cut do not offer the same comfort as boots. And although otherwise quite comfortable the tongue on one shoe has a heavily stitched seam on the inside that presses on my upper foot if I don't leave the laces quite loose; it's softening as the shoes wear in but it's disappointing it's there in the first place. Overall very good shoes for short walks in the forest and outdoors.

Tough and comfortable

For years I have worn walking shoes with mesh, GoreTex or similar uppers. They usually develop cracks or holes where your toes bend.
I decided to try real leather walking shoes to see if they last better. These Cotswold shoes appear to be well made, and are very comfortable. I have wide feet and the shoes fit snugly.
They do scuff easily but are just as easy to touch up with shoe polish. They are heavier than "sports" walking shoes but also offer better support and comfort.

Good sturdy well-made shoes.

Have worn Clark's for many many years but become dissolutioned with them. These are a step in the right direction. So glad I found them.
